About this template

This is a format that focuses on the “boilerplate” parts of an ad that can have a great deal of value for an applicant, but often get glossed over. The trick is to use this information more actively as a way to add context to the role and make it sound really attractive.

How to get started

This is a step-by-step guide on how you use this template to write your year in review video script.

Find your story

In the recruitment ad. Use any of the basic info included in the recruitment ad to give value to the applicant.

Find your assets

For the first part of the video, use a relevant stock image or video clip, preferably something from your office environment. For the second part use branded content.

Produce it

Use the “About Us” part of the ad. Find something interesting and adapt it for this video.

Mission Headline

Take a look at how you describe your organisation in the “About Us” part of your ads. What could be turned into an active part of marketing this recruitment? Probably a lot of it – your size, growth, market position, unique tech, awards, mission, values - anything you use to describe yourself. Pick one of the points and craft a headline with that and the position you are hiring for; it will come out in various ways.

Examples:

"The Country’s leading [X] is looking for [Position]”

“Do you want to work with a [Unique Characteristic] – then apply for this [Position]”

“We are driven by [Value] – if you are too, then this [Position] is free.”

Mission Headline

Position Description

Use the "overview" description of the position from the ad and trim it down to fit here. Make it straightforward, just the simple description.

Apply Now Information

Give the applicant some specific information about the application process here like dates or specific contact persons. This information is probably already in your ad, so use that with as little editing as possible.

Career Info

Refer to your career site or specific ad and make sure that you suggest that you are looking for all types of talent.

Example:
