This template helps you talk about your mission, vision, goals, and brand values in a way that engages the viewer by providing an honest and thorough discussion of the topic.
This is a step-by-step guide on how you use this template to write your year in review video script.
You should have these details well documented on your website or in a handbook, so start with that and then ask senior leaders or founders to elaborate if need be.
Use one stock or company image/video clip that relates to the leading question and another that illustrates the connection between your mission and the way your business runs.
Compose some critical questions based on the sections outlined in the template and write honest answers to them.
Use a critical tone when writing the question - a sceptical quality will make the rest of the script gel better. You want this to come off as hard-hitting, so ask the tricky question. If not you – someone else will, and then you won’t be in control of the answer.
The first part of your answer is used to clarify the implied meaning of the question. So in this part, you look at the “result” – or the “what” of the initial question – and clarify it. You might need to ground and perhaps spell out something that you communicate. And that’s good; it instils humility in your response and implies that you take this seriously.
The second part of the answer is used to bridge to what you are offering your customers or stakeholders. You’re echoing what you’re communicating through your pillars. But this time, it can be understood relative to the previous clarification, so even if you are saying the same thing – the viewer understands it differently.
Now clarify how your organisation brings the mission to life through your strategy and operations. Give the viewer information on how this big statement connects to the actual business or everyday events.
Include a standard message for the outro, if needed. Leave empty if you just want to use your logo.
