It’s an easy way to create content on a topic that you want to be associated with, without having to state an official stance on it, or when you don’t have the expertise in-house.
This is a step-by-step guide on how you use this template to write your year in review video script.
Ask your colleagues if it’s a topic they have insight into, or reach out to people outside your organisation. It could be anyone with have an interesting take on the question.
Select a relevant stock image/video clip for the intro and ask for a photo from each person included in the video.
You can produce this via email to keep production efficient. Send out a bcc email to everyone with all the questions or add a link to a Google form. Ask each person for a high-quality picture of themselves and ask for their name and other relevant details - based on the question you’re asking. Feel free to include the "Storykit quick guide to taking good portrait pictures & videos" if you like.
Pose a composite question in which you state the topic and your specific question about it. Decide on the exact wording before you ask people for their opinions. That way you can use the answers you get exactly as they are and avoid editing them to fit the template.
Each answer can be presented with the photo of the person. The value for the viewer comes from comparing answers, so keep them relatively short. Clarify this when reaching out to your participants. Include the person’s name and other information with their quote - this helps to provide context & interest for your viewer.
Include a standard message for the outro, if needed. Leave empty if you just want to use your logo.
