This format allows you to communicate results in a viewer-friendly way without being too short-form. You can spend time on each item in this format without leaving the “list of key points” feeling. What you want to do, though, is to focus this video on one specific aspect of your reports or results. It could be the “positive” aspects, items from one focus area, or a specific market – that will make this work the best.
This is a step-by-step guide on how you use this template to write your year in review video script.
In any report. Just look at it with the aim to find a specific theme or angle, and you'll probably see all the numbers and facts in a new way.
Use one or several relevant stock images or video clips. Alternatively, you could use internal stock content.
This is a true desk job. When you've found a useful way to group facts, you just follow these steps.
Craft a headline that takes the viewer straight to the subject and the focus of this video. You can add a text field to narrow the focus further or to delineate that this is part of a specific area.
Example:
Headline: “The 3 most improved markets”
Extra text field: “International Outlook”
Construct these "takeaways" so you tell a story in the main text field. It doesn't have to be short - you want your viewers to fully understand each takeaway. Then add a text field along the bottom to label it. If the focus is on entering new markets, the text could be as short as "Moved into Spain in October," where the main text would talk more freely about what happened.
Use this section to refer to the whole report or paper – or inform if it’s a pre-print, plus if and where the viewer can find more information.
Add a standard message for the outro, if needed. Or simply end off with your logo.
