This format describes a specific situation at a particular time from a team, person or event at your organisation. It will give the viewer quick insight into things, create an understanding of what goes on, and build identification and brand. Very much a “frozen moment” as a treat for the viewer.
This is a step-by-step guide on how you use this template to write your year in review video script.
Choose something that highlights the main characteristics or values you want to communicate about your employer brand or company culture. You could also prioritise stories that highlight certain roles or teams that are central to your talent acquisition strategy.
Use one image of the event you’re focusing on in the video that captures the moment-in-time essence of this video.
You can produce these quite easily by outsourcing both image collection and a lot of the actual script to the people in the organisation. Collect this by email, and you can build up a bank of these “moments” to distribute over a longer time.
Write an informative headline about the time and place. Ensure that place, date, and time are all you have here – it’s part of what makes the video intriguing.
Example:
"The Company Kick-off, 14 September 2022, 15:00"
Write a description of the situation you’re showing in the image/video you use in the background. Ensure that you start with the where and who of the actual imagery. Then proceed by telling the story in a couple of sentences. Ensure this reflects the usefulness of the work/activity and reminds the viewer of how good you are at it. You can “dramatise” the story quite a bit; it should be compelling.
Use a standard slogan or write something connected to the script.
